TODAY ISN’T FOREVER
Decisions, or the lack of decisions really, is what I believe holds many of us back. We are worried that we’re not making the right decision so we don’t make any decision at all.
We believe that nothing is better than wrong.
“Today isn’t forever” is a little phrase that I have been saying to myself lately. It helps me move with the decisions I make.
When I am worried if I am making the correct decision or not, I say to myself, “today isn’t forever”. It gives me the confidence to know that if I have just made the wrong decision that it won’t last forever. I can always amend my decision later.
If I have been procrastinating on a decision, I simply say to myself, “today isn’t forever”. It helps me understand that time waits for no one.
I initially started saying “today isn’t forever” to myself to help me with decision making, but it has since helped me in other areas of my life.
When I find myself rushing through the day with my head down, I remind myself that “today isn’t forever”. It helps me to realise that the little moments are what is important.
When I am in a bit of a rut and it feels like nothing is working, or things aren’t the way I would like them to be, I say to myself “today isn’t forever”. It makes me understand that what I am currently going through is just a phase, that it won’t last forever.
Forever only happens when we make the decision to not make a decision and live in a stagnant state.
We all need to remind ourselves sometimes that today isn’t forever: live immediately.
